Sorrento Lagoon Views

Sorrento Lagoon Views is a new residential quarter under construction in DAMAC Lagoons, Dubai, built by Damac. The project is planned around lagoons, white sand beaches and tropical greenery, and it will be ready as a freehold address for buyers of any nationality. Homes are priced from 680,000 AED.

Homes and formats

The quarter will have two formats: studios and one-bedroom apartments. The layouts are planned as compact homes for living or for renting out. Interiors will use light interiors and natural tones, with large windows to bring in daylight.

Architecture and courtyard

By design, the facades will be light in colour with rounded corners, and balconies will run in a wavy line across the floors. The buildings will stand around an internal courtyard, with pools and recreation areas in the centre and paths, lawns and trees along the edges. Lower-floor apartments will look into the courtyard, while upper floors will see the lagoon and neighbouring quarters of the district. Smooth curves and natural tones will carry through to the interiors.

La Vita Al Lago

The quarter's plan is named La Vita Al Lago and is arranged in six zones around the water. Everyday Essentials will put shops and services next to the homes, and the Culinary Zone will be a place for dinners by the water at sunset. The Entertainment Hub is planned for evenings with music, dancing and a programme, and the Community Amphitheatre will host shared events. Wellness Facilities will bring yoga, spa and training, while the Leisure Area will hold pools, a bar and floating pods.

Water and wellness

The recreation area by the water is labelled Chill, Float, Relax. At its centre, a pool with a bar in the water will let residents order a drink without leaving the pool, with sun loungers and umbrellas around it. Floating Pods, soft islands on the water reached by walkways, are planned for lying, reading and sunbathing away from the busy pool. Aqua Gym training in the water, an open-air yoga area, a spa with massage by the water and a gym will complete the sports side.

Evenings and dining

An open-air cinema will stand next to the homes, watched from loungers and bean bags on the grass. The amphitheatre is planned for concerts, celebrations and residents' evenings, and a small fire pit area by the water will suit quiet conversation after dinner. The Boho Lounge will have soft sofas, shade and calm music. A coffee house will serve specialty coffee and fresh pastries at outdoor tables in the shade, and the culinary zone, Sun-Kissed Sips and Sizzles, will be a setting for meals by the lagoon.

District and surroundings

DAMAC Lagoons covers 49 mln sq ft and sits next to DAMAC Hills, with each quarter named after a Mediterranean resort and lagoons, white sand beaches and tropical greenery laid between the homes. Sorrento continues this line with a reference to the Italian coast. Jebel Ali School is 5 minutes away, Fairgreen International 11 and the Aster clinic 9. Expo City and Global Village are 20 minutes away, Mall of the Emirates 25, Palm Jumeirah 28 and Downtown 30.
